Through this exhibition, Marco Marzini, together with the Achille Castiglioni Foundation, reinterprets the design connections between Achille Castiglioni and Bruno Munari.

In Achille and Bruno’s projects, one can always perceive an invitation to observe the world with a more attentive, creative, and profoundly human perspective.
The designs of Achille Castiglioni and Bruno Munari represent two distinct yet profoundly complementary paths within 20th-century Italian design. Both shared a design vision grounded in simplicity, functionality, and observation of the user experience, creating a true cultural and methodological synergy.

Castiglioni is known for his pragmatic and ironic approach to design. His works often arise from the careful observation of everyday objects and the creative reuse of existing elements. Munari wrote the book “From one thing comes another,” which Achille would later apply to the letter. Their industrial designs are essential yet surprising: through simple and intelligent solutions, they manage to solve concrete problems, always maintaining a strong element of lightness and ingenuity.
In addition to his industrial projects, Munari intertwines art, graphics, pedagogy, and experimentation. His work is guided by a profound reflection on creative processes and visual communication. Munari places great emphasis on the design method, developing tools and approaches that make design accessible, clear, and comprehensible.
