PTF podoscope

(with G.Pozzi and E.Zerbi)

The PTF podoscope, produced by Ortoteknica Italia in Milan, is a compact and highly effective piece of equipment (48cm x 7cm x 38cm) to diagnose differences in the pressure points on the feet. The sides of the podoscope sustain a plate-glass top, laterally illuminated by a fluorescent light to allow an trans-lightening effect. The solution favors a defined and immediate vision of the imprint of the feet impressions and a rapid identification of eventual malformations. Inside, two mirrored surfaces inclined in 45 degrees related to the glass cover facilitate the observation to the doctor when standing in front of the patient. Efficacy, simple usability and ease of maintenance (due to the open structure) are the main characteristic of this project.
