A simple mechanism enables the back to fold down from a flat to a more comfortable and intermediate reclined position, or a completely flat one. The solid beech structure, with the same rectangular section throughout, sustains a quilted mattress held in place with press-studs and lined with a tough PVC fabric that works as a support surface.
